Parliament Issue 62 • The Auld Lang Syne Issue

This issue of Parliament is our Auld Lang Syne Issue. The ‘Auld Lang Syne’ issue of Parliament is a look back at days gone by and what we did long ago. FYI that is the translation of auld lang syne, and it’s literally what we are doing. This issue is a look back at the articles we wrote in the very first year of Parliament. Why? We are now at Issue 62. The first issue of Parliament was published in 2010 – that’s 15 years of Parliament! If you want to know some stats – we average 3 articles an issue (not counting the case study or fun side articles). That adds up to almost 200 articles. If you want another fun one, the average article in Parliament is about 2,000 words. That adds up to over 400,000 words written by me (War and Peace is 587,000 words); so, I guess I wrote a book about deathcare along the way. Wait – I did write a book along the way (thank you, Cover Your Ass: The ultimate Guide to Protecting Your Business)..

This Issue of Parliament looks at Forms (exciting we know); graveside liability; Are funeral homes and cemeteries friends - or foes?; and as always a look at a case study - this time rudeness. Funny that 15 years ago we wrote about how rudeness could get you sued - and it’s probably more prevalent today! Anyway - get ready to look back and see how far we have come. Cheers!
